Bedford Building Maintenance is a family firm. Started by couple Clemency Bedford and Mostafa Tavengar, the company is built around the multi trade skills of Mostafa, who started his career at the age of 13 as an apprentice to a violin maker. He spent the next fifteen years working in every aspect of the construction industry until moving to the UK in 2000.

Once in London he worked on high end appartment conversions and refurbishments in NorthWest and Central London until being headhunted by ISS (Independent Studio Services Ltd) to bring his extensive construction skills to their theatre and studio installations. With ISS and, later, William Webb Ltd, Mus was able to work at the pinnacle of the construction industry, including building seating for the Royal Wedding and the stage for "Britain's Got Talent". He worked on projects at The Royal Festival Hall, The Southbank Centre, BSkyB and Fountain TV Studios, and The London Guildhall to name a few.

When the family relocated to Wiltshire in 2012 it was the perfect opportunity to build a team that would compliment Mostafa's undoubted abilities as an accomplished craftsman. With a qualified electrician, plumber and structural engineer in consultant roles, plus a couple of experienced labourers and an apprentice at his side, there is very little in the construction range that Bedford Building Maintenance cannot manage. As Clemency puts it, "we are just not interested in doing second rate work. If we don't believe we can do the work properly within the allocated budget then we will not accept the job, it's as simple as that".
